All labor, materials and equipment to place a tack coat and Plant Mix Bituminous Surface Course over designated existing street pavement shall be provided by the contractor. The contractor shall complete all milling for curb relief required on this contract. This job will consist of approximately 300,000 sq. ft. of milling and approximately 4,000 tons of bituminous surface course (including the tack coat), this project shall be completed on or before September 30, 2025. Backfilling, finish grading and seeding will be completed by City of Nevada forces. Should it be necessary, base course material will be provided for the contractor at the job site. Any additional work above the mentioned specifications will require change orders and the Public Works Director approval prior to beginning the work. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Performance and payment Bond, Equal to the contract amount. Payment shall be for the entire project after successful completion and acceptance. Contractors should expect Payment for services to take between 30-45 days. Bidder hereby agrees to commence work under this contract on or before July 1, 2025 as will be specified in the written "Notice to Proceed" of the Owner and to fully Complete the project by September 30, 2025 as stipulated in the specifications. Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages as provided in Paragraph 5 of the Contract Contractor's General Public Liability and Property Damage Insurance including vehicle coverage issued to the Contractor and protecting the Contractor from all claims for personal injury, including death, and all claims for destruction of or damage to property, arising out of or in connection with any operations under the Contract Documents, whether such operations be by the Contractor or by any Subcontractor employed by the Contractor or anyone directly or indirectly employed by the Contractor or by a Subcontractor employed by the Contractor and to include coverage for Products and/or Completed Operations. Insurance shall be written with a combined single limit for injury and/or property damage liability or not less than $2,000,000 per occurrence and with an aggregate of not less than $2,000,000. Coverage will include owned, nonowned and hired vehicles on and off the job and will include a "per project" endorsement. The City of Nevada reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any and all informalities not involving price, time or changes in the work, and the right to disregard all nonconforming, non-responsive, unbalanced or conditional bids. Also, the City reserves the right to reject the bid of any bidder it believes would not be in the best interest of the City to make an award to that bidder, whether because the bid is not responsive or the bidder is unqualified or of doubtful financial ability or fails to meet any other pertinent standards or criteria established for the proposed services. The City also reserves the right to select the bid it deems most beneficial and economical.
