Site work and paving for a road / highway in Dover Township, Ohio. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
All bids will be considered valid until 60 days after the opening date, although not accepted or rejected. The work for which proposals are invited consists of applying a double chip seal on County Road 29 - Big Bailey Run Rd (4.154 miles) in Athens County. The Engineer's Estimate of Construction Cost for the project is $275,000. The bidder must hold a current prequalification with the Ohio Department of Transportation for the appropriate items of work, and must maintain such prequalification during the course of the contract. The bidder will be required to describe in full detail as to their experience in this class of work, and bids from contractors inexperienced in this particular type of work will not be considered. Bidders must comply with the Federal Davis-Bacon Wages. The work shall commence upon written notice of award by Athens County. The Board of County Commissioners of Athens County, Ohio reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids and to waive informalities as may be in the best interest of Athens County.
