The proposed system should include the following features: The Macomb County Juvenile Justice Center, under the auspice of the Macomb County Executive Office, is a secure juvenile detention facility providing residential services for males and females ages 11 to 18 years of age. Placement in the facility is only by Court order. The average length of stay is about 30 days however some residents could stay as long as a year or more. The facility is licensed as a Child Caring Institution by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services. The facility which was built in 2004 has a communication system that is antiquated and unreliable. The existing system has the following features. 1. An all-call facility wide notification system which allows communication throughout speakers on the ceilings of the entire facility or in a specific zone. 2. A 2-way flush mounted door station in each cell. The cell intercoms communicate with a substation in the unit office as well as stations in the CCTV and Bubble 3. A 2-way flush mounted door station in each intake holding and interview rooms. The rooms communicate with a substation in the intake office as well as stations in the CCTV and Bubble. 4. An exterior 2-way flush mounted station at the sally port which allows the driver to announce themselves. The intercom communicates with the substation in the intake office as well as stations in the CCTV and Bubble. 5. Emergency buttons are located throughout the facility in areas such as classrooms, outdoor recreation areas, unit offices and administrative offices. If engaged the Central Control Station is notified of an emergency in that area. Vendor to provide and install new infrastructure for system. The network/infrastructure for the system need to be stand alone, and not tied to any other network. Furnish and install eighty-eight (88) Aiphone 2-Gang Vandal and Weather Resistant Flush-Mounted IP Door Stations that communicate directly with the Central Control station. System to provide 2-way communication from unit to security, with both sides being able to initiate communication Furnish and install one (1) Audio Master Station Remove and cap thirty (30) obsolete emergency buttons located throughout the facility in areas such as classrooms, outdoor recreation areas, unit offices and administrative offices. Furnish and install Category 6 Network Cable to each device location.
