Janitorial Cleaning Services Program Scope of work will include The work included in this contract shall consist of furnishing all the material, labor, equipment and incidentals required to provide janitorial cleaning services to the Morton Grove Police and Village Administrative Building, Public Works Administrative Offices and Fire Department Administrative Offices and the Morton Grove Train Station Unless excused in writing by the Village Administrator or his designee, all bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond for not less than five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder must furnish a satisfactory performance and payment bond in the full amount of the bid. Offers may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) days after the Bid Opening Date without the consent of the Village Administrator or his designee. The Village of Morton Grove reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bid procedures and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the Village. Bids Must Be Sealed, Mailed or Hand Delivered and Received in the Finance Department, Morton Grove Village Hall, 6101 Capulina Avenue, Morton Grove, Il 60053 by the Bid Opening Date. Fax and E-mail Bids Are Not Acceptable and Will Not Be Considered. Award shall be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder who best meets the specifications including financial capacity to perform, experience and qualifications performing similar work, and scheduling based upon the evaluation criteria specified herein. Scheduling of Work: The contract shall commence on June 1, 2025, and conclude on May 31, 2026. This contract shall be in full force up to and including May 31, 2026. The Village of Morton Grove reserves the right to renew this Contract for terms in 2026 and 2027 upon sixty day notice in writing of its intention to exercise this option. The Contractor, however, shall have the privilege of rejecting a renewal of the Contract period. Such rejection shall be made in writing to the Village of Morton Grove at least forty-five days prior to the expiration of the Contract term and shall state his unwillingness to continue under the same terms and conditions. The required Surety Bond and Certificates of Insurance documents will have to be submitted for the renewal term if so agreed upon. Question Deadline 04/23/2025 Last day to submit questions and requests for clarification. Questions and requests for clarifications should be submitted in writing to purchasing@mortongroveil.org. ANY and ALL changes to these specifications are valid only if they are included by written Addendum issued by the Village to all Bidders who have confirmed receipt of the Bid Documents as required in Section 9 above. All Addenda so issued shall become part of the bid documents. No binding interpretation of the meaning of the plans, specifications or other contract documents will be made orally. Failure of any bidder to receive any Addendum or interpretation shall not relieve the Bidder from obligation under this bid as submitted. Failure to request an interpretation constitutes a waiver to later claim that ambiguities or misunderstandings caused a bidder to improperly submit a bid.
