Renovation of an educational facility in Boone, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Appalachian State University is seeking design services for Planning, Design and Construction Administration services for the renovation and modernization of 50-year-old 52,380 GSF Walker Hall. The scope will include installation of an energy efficient HVAC system, elevator upgrade, roof replacement, and exterior improvements to address water infiltration issues. Interior renovations will occur as allowed by project budget. Construction work will be contracted with a prime bidding process. This project will be administered as a State Construction Office full oversight project. Additional project requirements will be given to the teams that are short listed and/or selected.
