Renovation of a detention facility in Memphis, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a detention facility.

*The purpose of this amendment is to respond to the questions regarding this request and to extend due date to 4/30/2025 11a central. Qand A below, Pictures attached What are the exact dimensions of the existing door and frame For example, height, width, thickness. Door: 35 & 5/8th inches wide by 83 inches tall by 2 inches thick Door Frame: 40 inches wide by 87 1/2 inches tall. Frame appears to be a standard steel door frame for commercial building applications Is the door left-hand or right-hand swinging Inward or outward opening Door has a left-hand swing and opens inward into the cellblock What security rating or classification is required For example, minimum gauge, ASTM F1450 compliance There are no markings on the door, but his door is a high security steel door used for correctional applications. I would assume the door follows the USMS guidelines regarding confinement/prison usage. Should the replacement door and frame match any existing finish or material specifications Door must be steel with stainless steel hardware Can you confirm the type/model of existing hardware being reused like the locks, hinges, closers Hinges are high security & heavy duty tamper-proof stainless-steel hinges Lock may be a Southern Folger brand with an electromechanical mortise style deadlatch with Mogul cylinder used for confinement facility applications. (photos attached) Door closers are conceal mounted high security & heavy-duty closure devices, brand unknown Are there any anchoring or wall condition specifications such as concrete or CMU Wall structure appears to be a solid concrete wall with a tile facade. Is a fire label required for the new door and frame None of the installed doors have a fire label attached. However, this door is a direct access to a stairway and fire code usually requires these doors to be fire/smoke rated.
