Renovation of a municipal facility in Bourne, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The work to be done under this contract consists of executing and completing all work required for IFB# 25-05, Harrington Hall Tug Simulator & 01 Admin Suite Renovation, Harrington Hall, Massachusetts Maritime Academy. 1. General Information a. The project consists of a renovation of an admin suite and tug simulator room located in Harrington Hall. The renovation shall be designed and constructed to meet all requirements of the Massachusetts State Building Code, current edition, in addition to all other applicable codes and regulations. The renovation is approximately 2,080 [ROUGH TAKEOFFS] square feet of building area bounded by existing conditions; on a site known as Harrington Hall. The building site will not be affected by the project. b. The renovation, which will house MMA functions is a 2-story area in a 3-story structure, of Construction Classification Type IIB, for Use Group B. Functional areas of the suite include bathrooms, reception space, meetings rooms, offices, lab space, and storage. c. All structure is existing concrete framing and decking. d. All base building heating, cooling, and electrical systems are existing with modifications required to serve the renovated spaces. Harrington Hall Tug Simulator & 01 Admin Suite Renovations - GC Bid The scope of the project is to perform selective renovations to the 1st and 3rd floor of Harrington Hall. On the third floor, one existing room that is currently unoccupied, will be converted to a Tug Simulator Room, including power, AV upgrades, room reconfiguration and air distribution. On the first floor, the existing Administrative Suite will be upgraded with new finishes and furniture. The renovated spaces will provide new acoustic ceiling tile, new lighting, new wall finishes, new flooring and ceiling diffusers. Question Deadline 04/25/2025 . All related questions should be sent to ryans@perrydean.com, michaelc@perrydean.com and procurement@maritime.ed The work is estimated to cost $402,933.00 Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c. l49 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work -- General Building Construction and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime Update Statement Each Bid must be accompanied by a bid security consisting of a BID BOND, or, CERTIFIED, TREASURER'S OR CASHIER'S CHECK issued by a responsible bank or trust company and made payable to the Massachusetts Maritime Academy in the amount of 5% of the Bid price. The minimum wage rate requirements for this Contract are listed as part of the bid document Pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30, 39S(a) (2) all employees to be employed on the project must have successfully completed a course in construction safety and health approved by OSHA and of at least 10 hours in duration The project expected start date is May 15th, 2025, with a substantial completion date of August 8th, 2025 and the final completion date no later than August 29th, 2025.
