Award: Faber Construction Corporation for $4,326,715.82 The improvement consists of: This project includes replacement of existing culverts on Padden Creek and the Interurban Trail lining up approximately with 12th and 14th Streets. The culverts will be replaced with fish passable steel arched culverts and wing walls. Also included is trail and planting restoration, replacement of sanitary sewer mains over the culverts, tree removal and concrete debris removal under the 12th Street bridge. Price Range: $4,000,000 - $5,000,000 All proposals must be on the Bid Proposal form provided by the City of Bellingham and must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, cash, money order or bid bond payable to the Finance Director in an amount equal to or exceeding five percent (5%) of the total bid. No other form of bid security is acceptable. A one hundred percent (100%) payment and performance contract bond will be required; provided that for projects of thirty-five thousand dollars ($35,000) or less, at the contractor's option, retainage of fifty percent (50%) will be held until releasable under RCW 39.08.010 in lieu of a payment and performance contract bond.
