SEALED BIDS for the furnishing of the necessary materials and construction of the High Street Improvements Charges for shipping and tax are payable directly to Becker Impressions and are the bidder's responsibility. All charges for documents, shipping, and tax are non-refundable. Bidders must order documents direct from Becker Impressions in order to be placed on the official list of plan holders. Bids will only be accepted from bidders listed on the official list of plan holders. Only pre-qualified contractors are eligible to submit bids for this project. Pre-qualification status must be in force at the time of bid, at the time of award, and through the life of the construction contract. For work types that ODOT does not pre-qualify, the City must still select a qualified contractor. Subcontractors are not subject to the pre-qualification requirement. \ Project Start: June 2, 2025 Completion Date: August 15, 2025 The "prime" contractor must perform no less than 30 percent of the total original contract price. All bids must be signed and submitted on the blanks which are provided in the contract booklet 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond using the form in the Contract Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's heck or letter of credit in favor of the City of Maumee, in the amount of 10% of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract Bond will be required, which is a 100% payment and performance bond. After the award of the contract let by competitive bid and prior to the time the contract is entered into, bidders shall submit the affidavit required under the Ohio Revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Lucas County, Ohio. The successful bidder will be required to pay DavisBacon wage rates. The City of Maumee reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive the irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest and best bidder. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60 days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids.
