The Victoria Isd is Issuing a Request for Proposal for Suspended Ceiling Materials, Installation, & Repairs Contract Period: July 1, 2025 Through June 30, 2026 (+2) (or Upon Bid Award) The purpose of this proposal is to acquire a Service Contract for the Materials, Installation, and Repair of Suspended Acoustical Ceilings for facilities within the Victoria Independent School District (VISD). Orders will be placed on an "as-needed" basis during the proposal performance period which is from JULY 1, 2025 (OR UPON AWARD) - JUNE 30, 2026. The proposal may be extended for a period of two (2) years in increments of 12 months each if the terms and conditions remain constant and both parties agree in writing. Note that the number of job orders and/or projects placed under this agreement will be subject to the availability of funds in the appropriate budget year. The successful contractor shall provide the necessary labor and materials, all which shall include delivery costs, labor costs, profit, overhead, wage rates, benefits, etc., and all other vendor costs of operation. The successful vendor shall provide his own tools, equipment, vehicles and transportation to/from work site(s). Market price increases may be accepted over a six (6) month period with manufacturer's verification when increased cost of raw materials exceeds 5%. Both parties MUST agree in writing. The successful contractor shall be requested to provide an ESTIMATE for each job or job order based on the dimensions of the ceiling area to receive acoustical tile. Care should be exercised when providing estimates for areas where asbestos material is identified and/or located. The contractor shall notify the VISD Maintenance Department (361-575-6408) immediately when asbestos material is encountered. The contractor is expected to visit the site of acoustical ceiling tile installation prior to providing the estimate and to become familiar with conditions which exist prior to submitting the estimate.
