Public works solicitation to provide services to remove whole trees, prunes trees, and remove woody debris. Contractor must provide the following equipment at minimum, one (1) chainsaw per crew member, a bucket truck (60-foot minimum), skid steer (minimum of 3,000-lb capacity), woodchipper (minimum 18" with winch). License required: C-61/D-49 or C-49 Tree Service. This contract is subject to Prevailing Wage compensatory laws under the Craft, Tree, Maintenance (Laborer) determination NC-102-X21-2024-1. The contractor agrees to complete all the work within thirty-six (36) calendar months from the date of written notice to commence work. The contract term for this agreement is June 15, 2025 (or upon DGS-OLS approval whichever is later) through June 14, 2028 (or 36-calendar months from DGS-OLS approval whichever is later). Responses will be included as an Addendum to this solicitation. Questions will be accepted up to Monday, April 21,2025 at 10:00 AM PST. Note: A Letter of Bondability on Surety Company's letterhead stating the Contractor/Bidder has the bonding capacity available for this project is required. This letter must be included with bid submission. When contract is awarded, the Contractor will be required to submit Payment and Performance bonds to DPR within ten (10) calendar days. Bids Exceeding $250,000 shall have enclosed cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond, executed as surety by a corporation authorized to issue surety bonds in the State of California in an amount equal to at least 10% of amount of bid. It is the responsibility of the contractor to ensure that their bid/proposal arrives at the designated location before the specified due date and time. Prospective bidders may examine and obtain bid forms, specifications, and plans by calling or mailing a request to the office of the Department of Parks and Recreation, at the phone number or address listed above. No bid will be considered unless it is made on a standard bid form furnished 'by the Department of Parks and Recreation, and is made in accordance with the "Instructions to Bidders."
