Any bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The project scope at each site consists of the abatement of identified asbestos containing materials and disposal at LDEQ permitted Type I or Type II landfill; demolition, site clearance, and disposal of other structural components (with associated ancillary and site improvements) that is severely dilapidated and creating blight conditions in the community. All structures identified for demolition and clearance under this elimination of blight effort have been condemned under the processes of L.R.S.33:4765 The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all bids for just cause. Minority owned firms, small businesses, and/or Section 3 businesses are encouraged to participate. BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO PERFORM A PRE-BID SITE VISIT. Any questions regarding the bid must be provided in writing to the OWNER prior to 7 business days before bid opening date. The total price shall cover all work required by the Contract Documents for the asbestos abatement, demolition of structures, removal of slabs and flatwork, fill and grading, and other associated work located on properties identified in work orders. All costs in connection with the proper and successful completion of the work, including mobilization and demobilization, furnishing all materials, equipment, supplies, and appurtenances; providing all plans, equipment, and tools; and performing all necessary labor and supervision to fully complete the work in accordance with these contract documents, shall be included in the bid price. General scope ofwork for the bid item includes all labor and materials required for accessing, asbestos abatement, demolition, removal, loading, transportation, and disposal as outlined in these Specifications. The CONTRACTOR shall perform work under his bid complete in its entirety and in accordance with project specifications. The CONTRACTOR shall demolish, load, haul, and dispose debris at the CONTRACTOR'S designated LDEQ approved landfill. It shall be noted that it is solely the responsibility ofthe CONTRACTOR to ensure that all debris associated with this bid item is disposed of at appropriate permitted landfill(s). Incidental to this bid item and at no additional cost to the OWNER, the CONTRACTOR shall perform the following: Removal of all ACM and Non-ACM flooring materials from slab and concrete flat work. Removal of all ACM and Non-ACM material from exterior and interior of the structures (or handled in accordance with applicable LDEQ rules and regulations). Remove and dispose ofsmall gasoline powered equipment. Remove and dispose ofHousehold Hazardous Waste (HHW). Remove and dispose ofwhite goods. Remove and dispose oftires and rims. Remove and dispose ofMunicipal Solid Waste (MSW). Remove and dispose offences designated by Owner. Remove and dispose of miscellaneous Construction and Demolition (C&D) material. Remove and dispose ofmiscellaneous loose vegetation. Remove concrete structural foundations. Removal and disposal ofall concrete, slabs, foundations, pavement, and flatwork.
