Site work for a road / highway in Dewdney, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
To repair the fill slope failure that occurred at 4.5km on the Dewdney FSR. The fill slope is approximately 20 meters elevation difference between the toe of slope (adjacent Dewdney Creek) and the finished road elevation. To repair the toe of the slope a temporary tote road may/will be required to be constructed. As part of total completion of the project all tote roads constructed must be completely deconstructed to the satisfaction of the Ministry Representative. Dewdney Creek is a fish stream (S2), and the works are required to take place during the reduced risk work window which is August 1 - August 31. A Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) has been completed for this repair and must be followed, see attachment 3. The Environmental Monitor for this work will be provided by the Ministry. All riprap required for this repair is expected to be hauled from a large talus slope, see attachment 1 for location. There is access to the talus slope; however, the contractor will be required to construct any trails required to access the materials at their cost. Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca OTHER BIDDER: Arda Creek Contracting Ltd $1,178,555 Award is subject to final approval.
