Project involves the stabilization and restoration of approximately 2,120 LF of Pigeon Creek. The project includes, but is not limited to, site clearing and grubbing, tree removal, grading and excavation, channel realignment, installation of instream structures, native vegetation restoration, and erosion control. Bids shall be accompanied by a Bond or Certified Check payable to The Village of Thiensville equal to 5 percent of the Bid. If the successful Bidder fails to execute the Contract & furnish payment and performance bonds within 15 days after the award, the Check or Bid Bond may be forfeited to The Village of Thiensville as liquidated damages. Construction time is of the essence. Completion delays are subject to liquidated damages. The Village of Thiensville reserves the right to accept the most advantageous Bid, or to reject any and all Bids. Award of Work described herein is subject to the provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes. The Work will be substantially completed on or before January 30, 2026, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions on or before February 28, 2026. If the date of the Notice To Proceed results in the expiration of the allowable time period for the Work to be complete and ready for final payment to occur after February 28, 2026 the Contractor will be allowed until the following May 25, 2026 to complete the seasonal parts of the Work listed below: 1. Establishing grass. 2. Native seeding. 3. Tree planting.
