Site work for a mixed-use development in Wakonda, South Dakota. Completed plans call for site work for a playground / park / athletic field; and water / sewer project.

Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Bids will be awarded separately and are invited upon the general items of work as follows: SCHEDULE A - EARTHWORK 1. 1 lump sum of tree and stump removal and disposal 2. 280 tons of agri-lime for softball field infield 3. 540 tons of gravel surfacing 4. 173 cubic yards of topsoil stripping, stockpiling, and placing 5. 237 cubic yards of place borrowed topsoil 6. Miscellaneous fine-grading 7. Miscellaneous ball field appurtenances 8. Miscellaneous erosion control SCHEDULE B - FENCING 1. 692 feet of 4' chain link fence w/ safety guard 2. 112 feet of 8' chain link fence 3. 68 feet of 18' chain link back stop 4. 2 each 4'x8' chain link swing gate SCHEDULE C - IRRIGATION 1. 1 lump sum of delegated design, furnish, and install irrigation piping, fittings, heads, controls, valves, irrigation general electrical, and water line connection. The approximate quantities mentioned above are subject to increase or decrease. It will be agreed by bidders that all quantities of work will be performed in accordance with the provisions of the specifications and at the unit price bid. Bidders agree to furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to complete all the work as shown in the plans and specifications. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bank draft payable to the order of the Town of Wakonda, South Dakota, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid. A bid bond in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total bid will be accepted in lieu of a certified check or bank draft. Surety for bid bond must be authorized to do business in the State of South Dakota. Pursuant to State Law, a copy of the bidder's sales and use tax license and a copy of the bidder's excise tax license as issued by the State of South Dakota must accompany the bid. In lieu of a copy of the license, the bidder shall submit appropriate evidence that the bidder and all affiliates have the appropriate licenses. Bids may be held by the Town Board for a period of not more than thirty (30) days from the date of opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids, investigating the qualifications of the bidders and completing financial arrangements prior to awarding the Work. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding and make awards in the Owner's best interest. Custom Bid Result.
