The work of this project includes, but is not limited to, the removal of the existing 16,100 square foot roof membrane system to the roof deck and installation of a 25-year fully adhered EPDM membrane roof system over a poly-iso insulation board on a vapor barrier; existing areas consisting of Tectum roof deck to receive a coverboard. Installation of new roof drain & associated piping & connection to existing system. Portions of the roof contain an existing wood fascia trim which will be removed and replaced with a new metal wrapped edge and fascia trim. The existing metal edge trim at the remainder of the roof area will be removed and replaced with a new two-piece extended fascia system Bidders must provide the following information: Company Name Postal Address Telephone Contact Name If hard copies of the drawings and specifications are desired, the bidder can purchase them from the office of the Architect at the address and hours set forth above upon receipt of certified check, cash or money order in the amount of $60 per set of Contract Documents. If requested, documents will be sent via Federal Express utilizing the bidder's account for an additional $25 handling charge within 24 hours of receipt of the certified check, cash or money order. BID SECURITY: Bid Security is required in the amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount indicated in the Bid, but not in excess of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00). No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for opening except with express written approval by the Owner. A Bid Security in the form specified in the Bidding Documents to the order of the Owner, in an amount of not less than ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid, not to exceed Twenty Thousand ($20,000.00) Dollars. 3. A Consent of Surety evidencing that the Successful Bidder for any Contract(s) or Combined Contract will furnish in the form required for a surety company satisfying the requirements of the Bidding Documents including: a performance Bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price, a Labor and Materials Bond in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract Price; and, at the time required in the Bidding Documents, a Maintenance Bond in the total amount of Twenty-five Percent (25%) of the Contract Price. 4. A Corporate Disclosure Statement of individuals owning 10% or more of the stock of the bidder company, corporation, partnership and joint venture, pursuant to P.L. 1997, C.33. 5. Where the Bidder is a Foreign Corporation, a valid "Certificate of Authority to perform work in New Jersey." 6. State of New Jersey Business Registration Certificate for the Bidder and all designated Sub-Contractors The Owner will award the contract or reject all bids within sixty (60) days of receipt, except that the bids of any bidders who consent thereto may, at the request of the Owner, be held for consideration for such longer period as may be agreed. All bid security except the security of the three apparent lowest responsible bidders shall, if requested, be returned after ten (10) days from the opening of the bids, Sundays and holidays excepted and the bids of such bidders shall be considered as withdrawn. Within three (3) days after the award of the contract and the approval of the contractors performance bond , the bid security of the remaining unsuccessful bidders shall be returned to them forthwith, Sundays and holidays excepted. REJECTION OF BIDS: The right is reserved by the Owner to reject any or all bids or to waive any immaterial defect or informality in any bid, if deemed in the best interest of the Owner. Any Bid which does not fulfill the material requirements of the Bidding Documents will be rejected. When it is in its best interest to do so, the Owner may award the Contract in whole or in part, select any combination of bids, or may waive any informalities in or reject any or all bids.
