The Town of Smyrna is seeking qualified contractors to provide professional tree trimming and maintenance services to ensure the safety and reliability of the town's electric utility lines and public spaces. Contractors are invited to submit proposals that meet the requirements outlined in this RFP. B. SCOPE OF WORK The selected contractor will perform the following services: Tree Trimming and Removal: Trim trees to ensure clearance around electric utility lines and equipment. Remove dead, diseased, or hazardous trees as identified by the Town. Clear vegetation from rights-of-way and public spaces as directed. Debris Removal: Remove and dispose of all trimmings, branches, and debris generated during tree trimming services. Emergency Services: Provide emergency response for storm damaged trees or urgent hazards as required by the Town. Additional Services: Perform other related tree maintenance tasks as requested by the Town. CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS The contractor must have experience of tree trimming for municipal or utility clients. Employees performing the work must be certified arborists or trained professionals. The contractor must hold all necessary licenses and insurance, including: Commercial General Liability ($1,000,000 minimum) Workers' Compensation as per state law D. PROPOSAL REQUIREMENTS Interested contractors must submit a proposal including: Company Overview: Name, address, and contact information A summary of relevant experience. Work Plan Description of the approach to completing the Scope of Work. Proposed schedule and timeline. Pricing Detailed cost breakdown for all services including labor, equipment and materials. References Contact information of municipal or utility clients served in the last three years. Proof of Insurance Copies of Current insurance certificates. E. SELECTION CRITERIA Proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: Qualifications and experience Quality of work plan and methodology Pricing and cost-effectiveness References and past performance Ability to meet the Town's insurance and licensing requirements
