2025 Water Curb Stop Replacement Program This project generally consists of the replacement of existing water system curb stops at five (5) locations throughout the Riegelsville Water Company system. Curb stops whose location are currently unknown have been located and marked via a third party hired directly by the Borough. An allowance has been included in the bid for public water service line replacement in the event galvanized or lead pipes are observed when the curb stop is uncovered. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Riegelsville. Questions Due Date: May 7th 2025, 4:00 PM EDT Award of Contract, if a Contract is awarded, it will be to the lowest responsible bidder, but the Owner reserves the unqualified right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. All current Pennsylvania Department of Transportation Standards and Specifications will prevail over all standards and specifications included in this contract. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Payment Bonds, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price with a corporate surety approved by the Owner. The work in connection with this project constitutes a Public Works by a Public Body project. Bidders are advised that prevailing minimum wage rates, as set forth in the Contract Documents, must be paid to workmen employed on this project. In addition, the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, age, color, religion, sex, national origin, or disability.
