The Town of Salem, NH is seeking a qualified contractor to place rubber chip seal on 8 roads in Salem, NH. The work includes approximately 28,000 SY rubber chip seal on 8 roads in the Town of Salem, New Hampshire. The project includes quantities of crack sealing, road patching, and milling work. The Town and successful bidder may, if mutually agreed to, enter into two (2) one year extensions with final contract ending on December 31, 2028 Each bid must be accompanied by a BID SECURITY, payable to the Town of Salem, in the amount of 5% of the total bid, which BID SECURITY must be in the form of a certified treasurer's or cashier's check or bid bond. Successful bidder must furnish 100 percent Construction Performance Bond, 100 percent Construction Payment Bond and a $25,000 Warranty Bond. Each bid shall be submitted on the Bid Form supplied by the Town of Salem in a sealed envelope clearly identified with the Bidder's name and address marked. The Bid Schedule section shall be completed showing the Unit Price and Total Price for each item, and a Grand Total for all items. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technical or legal deficiencies that it may deem to be in the best interest of the Town. Substantial contract completion date shall be August 15, 2025. Contract Final Completion date shall be August 29, 2025. No bidder may withdraw his/her Bid for a period of 90 calendar days after the actual date. Question Deadline 05/01/2025 To receive consideration, questions shall be submitted in writing to the Owner at least seven days before the established date for receipt of Bids. Owner will post any Addenda as Owner considers necessary in response to questions arising during the bidding period. Questions shall be submitted to the Purchasing Agent, Gia Faccadio, via email (gfaccadio@salemnh.gov). The bidder is responsible for obtaining Addenda from the website, signing and dating it, and including it with their bid.
