Scope of Work 1. Purpose The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which Contractor is to provide trash services. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all labor, trash bins, equipment, travel, and incidentals, and to pay all associated costs, fees (including disposal fees), and taxes, necessary to provide on call, as-needed trash collection, hauling, and disposal services as described herein 2. Subcontracting Subcontracting is not permitted under this Agreement. All references to subcontracting or subcontractors as found herein are not applicable to this Agreement. 3. Location The services shall be performed at the following locations within Colusa County. A. Maxwell Safety Roadside Rest Area (SRRA) Northbound Interstate 5 Post Mile (PM) 24.3 B. Maxwell Safety Roadside Rest Area (SRRA) Southbound Interstate 5 PM 24.3 C. Colusa Maintenance Station (MS) 1401 Will South Green Avenue Colusa, CA 65932 D. Williams Overflow MS Highway 99, across from the old Williams MS (next to the trailer park). Area is gated with supply storage and a small engineer's trailer. PM 21.85 4. Any reference to Caltrans Contract Manager shall also include designee. 5. This Agreement will commence on July 1, 2025 (estimate), or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and no work shall begin before that time. This Agreement is of no effect unless approved by Caltrans. Contractor shall not receive payment for work performed prior to approval of the Agreement and before receipt of notice to proceed by Caltrans Contract Manager. This Agreement will expire on October 31, 2027 (estimate). The services shall be provided during normal working hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, except holidays. On occasion, Contractor may be required to provide services outside of normal business hours, including on weekends and holidays, to complete emergency services, as determined in the sole discretion of Caltrans Contract Manager. The parties may amend this Agreement as permitted by law. Question Deadline 04/26/2025 Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions via e-mail to christian.miller@dot.ca.gov.
