Remodeling of an educational facility in Palatine, Illinois. Completed plans call for the remodel of a educational facility.

Work includes (but is not limited to) the following: Demolishing a portion of the existing ceiling system, providing drywall partitions to extend existing partitions up to the roof deck, providing acoustical tile ceiling systems, providing new lighting, relocating/extending existing sprinkler heads down to the new ceiling, and providing new branch duct work to the new ceiling. Work also include replacing wall base, replacing radiant fin tube heating, adding acoustical seals to office doors, and painting. The Date of Substantial Completion for all work shall be no later than 11:59 PM Friday, August 8, 2025. The expected award date/letter of intent is anticipated to be issued no later than June 20, 2025. B. Work may begin on campus as of June 30, 2025 if performance bond, insurance, schedule and safety letter have been accepted by Architect/Owner. C. The date of Final Completion shall be no later than 10 working days after receipt of punchlist. Contract Goal to be Achieved by Vendor: This solicitation includes a specific BEP participation goal of 20% of the total dollar amount awarded to MBEs and FBEs, with at least 50% of the total dollar amount awarded to FBEs. All questions regarding the Bidding Documents shall be submit ted via email to both the Purchasing Manager for Harper College, Mrs. Jewell Jack son (purchasing@harpercollege.edu) and the Architect, Scot Parker (sparker@legat.com). Replies will be issued to all bidders of record in the form of an Addendum. Questions received later than Tues day, April 29,2025, 5:00 P.M. central daylight time may not be answered. Bid security in the form of bid bond in an amount equal to 10 percent (10%) of the aggregate of the Base Bid amount and any and all Alternate Bid amounts shall be submit ted with the bid. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds, and Certificate of Insurance will be required from the successful bidder Harper College reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof, to waive any irregularities or informalities in bidding procedures, and to award the contract in a manner best serving the interest of the College. Bidders shall comply with the Business Enterprise Program: Participation and Utilization Plan developed by Harper College. There is a 30 percent requirement on the Contract.
