The Town of Windsor is requesting proposals from qualified contractors for professional services for Pre-Construction Migratory Bird Surveying for the Wildfire Hazard Mitigation Project. The project consists of approximately 561,728 square feet (12.89 acres) of Town-owned parcels along Windsor Creek, East Windsor Creek, and Pool Creek. The primary goal is to mitigate wildfire risk by removing vegetation and ladder fuels while ensuring firefighters have sufficient access to areas identified as high-risk for fires. Project will be issued as a Professional Services Agreement. The construction is specified in the Special Provisions to completed before December 31, 2025. The intent of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to initiate the bidding process for a qualified Wildlife Biologist to perform migratory bird surveys within the Project footprint before field treatment begins. It will ultimately be up to the consultant to determine and propose the details of the actual Consultant services work. Consultant services include, but are not limited to migratory bird surveys, establish buffers where active nests are identified, following standards and procedures required for Federally Funded projects, project coordination with the Town Project Manager and Project Contractor Questions on this Request for Proposals can be addressed via email or telephone by no later than May 22, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. to the Town Project Liaison listed on the cover of this RFP The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, and to waive any informality, technical defect or clerical error in any proposal as the interests of the Town may require.
