The Chicopee Housing Authority (CHA) invites asbestos abatement contractors to submit sealed bids for the removal of asbestos containing materials at all CHA developments in Chicopee. DCAM certification is not required. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.l49 44A-J and to state minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.l49 26 to 27H inclusive. The CHA shall issue a written response via e-mail by Monday, April 28, 2025, to all parties who have requested a copy of the IFB. The contract awarded from this IFB shall be for a three (3) year period from July 1,2025, through June 30, 2028. There is no minimum or maximum dollar amount for the contract. The abatement contractor must provide all labor, tools and equipment necessary to perform all abatement work associated with this contract The Contractor shall provide a copy of all abatement paperwork to the CHA for each activity including ANF, disposal manifest, and clearance test results. The contractor shall be responsible for preparing and submitting the annual Blanket Notification forms to DEP for all CHA developments listed in the Section 10 of these bid documents. DEP form BWP AQ 05 must be submitted in a timely manner to ensure that DEP approval continues on an annual basis from January 1 through December 31 for each year of the contract.
