The construction will be located at the Districts existing plant site in Larimer County, Colorado. PROJECT OVERVIEW: The Project consists of upgrading the existing District WWTP scum collection system and the installation of a recuperative thickening system. The Project will occur at the existing District plant site located approximately one mile south and west of the intersection of Interstate 25 and Prospect Road near Ft. Collins, Colorado. The District hired Carollo Engineers as the Design Engineer for the project and has currently completed the preliminary design phase. The overall Project, in general, consists of: 1. Scum Collection System: Demo and replace existing collection manhole structures with prebuilt pump stations. Effluent from prebuilt structures will be routed through existing gravity system via pressurized line. 2. Recuperative Thickening: Installation of recuperative thickener. Includes upgrades to polymer feed, potable water lines, and non-potable water lines. Prequalified Contractors will be invited to submit proposals for Project construction at or before the 60% design phase. The District will review the proposals and select a Contractor to provide preconstruction services including, but not limited to: cost estimating, scheduling, constructability reviews and value engineering with the goal of developing a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) construction contract within the District's budget.
