Renovation of a service station / car wash facility in Santa Barbara, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a service station / car wash facility.
The City is currently looking for a Design Professional to fulfill the following portion of this project: Design Services, Permitting & Construction Administration This Design Team will work closely with City Staff and SCE CRT staff to design the electrical and supporting civil design of the site to deliver EV charging solutions as outlined in Appendix C&D, and adhering to all requirements of the SCE CRT program as outlined in Appendix E. This will including the design of adding 6 DCFC ports and 50 Level-2 EV chargers ports, with make-ready infrastructure to support future installation of roughly 71 additional Level-2 chargers and 10 additional DCFCs. The site encompasses several City work groups and functions with nominal free area, as such effective space planning and will be key to project success. The majority of the parcel is located in a FEMA floodplain, and a key aspect of the design will be to protect the Citys assets from floodwater damage.
