As of August 15, 2025, this project has been cancelled. South Jordan City desires to select one Contractor to provide construction services for Zone 7 & 8 Transmission Pipeline and Meter Vault. The project includes furnishing and installing 7,844 linear feet of 42-inch HDPE pipeline and a meter vault. The City plans to award the project to the Contractor who most closely meets the criteria established in the RFP. Anticipated date of Notice to Proceed: May 30, 2025 Contractors need to examine the RFP carefully to become thoroughly familiar with all conditions and requirements that may affect the work to be performed under the contract. Contractors are expected to follow all local, city, state, and federal standards, codes, and specifications. Contractors should review the RFP document to provide a statement of qualifications and understand the minimum requirements. Minimum Requirements must be met for the proposal to be reviewed and scored. Contractors/Subcontractor who is responsible for the fusing of the HDPE pipeline must meet training requirements. Complete and submit all needed information and documents required in the RFP documents. While the RFP is open, communication of any kind made regarding this project with any City employee is prohibited. The PROJECT will consist of: 1. 42-inch HDPE Pipeline. Furnish and install roughly 7,844 feet of 42-inch HDPE pipeline from approximately 12124 S on Bacchus Highway to 7028 W and 11800 S. This part of the project includes the installation of valves, tees, fittings, connection to existing water system, connection to future water tank, commission of transmission line, and miscellaneous appurtenances to the pipelines. It will be required that the installation of the pipeline between station 73+00 and 76+00 must be completed on or before August 4, 2025. Coordination with other agency's contractor will be required . 2. Meter Vault. Construction of a JVWCD meter vault, 30" welded steel pipeline connecting to JVWCD aqueduct and new 42-inch HDPE Pipeline, combination air valve boxes, tank drain outlet box, asphalt patch restoration in the South Jordan City right-of-way, and all appurtenances necessary for a fully operational meter vault. This part of the project includes electrical connections and work associated with the valve vault and telemetry wiring for a RTU. 3. Project also includes sampling, testing and handling of potential contaminated soils in accordance with a soil management work plan approved by the Utah Division of Environmental Response and Remediation The work shall include all labor, supplies, tools, equipment, parts, rentals, fuels, utilities, subcontractors, suppliers, and all other costs including overhead and profit to complete the work based on construction plans. The bid schedule includes a project bid alternative to install 300 feet of a 48-inch steel casing from station 73+00 to 76+00. This alternative bid will be awarded at the City's discretion.
