Renovation of a transportation facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility.

The contract duration is 182 calendar days (26 weeks) from the Notice to Proceed. The Work includes but is not limited to: The SEPTA CCTV improvement project will replace the existing IP camera/equipment with current technology IP cameras and network equipment at two stations within SEPTA service area. The following is a list of sites for this improvement project: - 13th Street Station; 37 CCTV cameras and equipment - Juniper Trolley Station; 13 CCTV cameras and equipment The Contractor shall finalize the design, procure, install, test, and place in service the CCTV equipment using current surveillance technology and installation methods at the indicated stations. Refer to contract documents, drawings and specifications for additional requirements. Question Deadline - 05/01/2025 - All questions must be submitted, via email, to the Contract Administrator to be guaranteed an answer. Answers will be issued, via an Addendum, on Monday, May 12, 2025 by COB. Any inquiries regarding this bid and any request for change, modification, or clarification of any aspect of these Contract Documents must be made in writing, via email, the Contract Administrator at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the bid opening in order to be taken into consideration. Each bid submitted shall remain firm for at least ninety (90) days from the date of the Bid Opening and may not be withdrawn in whole or in part during that time. By submitting a bid, the bidder certifies that the bid price is held firm for that time and any extension thereof. SEPTA, in accordance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, 78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4, and Title 49,Code of Federal Regulations, Department of Transportation, Subtitle A, Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Non-discrimination in Federally-Assisted Programs of the Department of Transportation issued pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that in regard to any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation, and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, sex, colour, or national origin in consideration for an award. Contractor will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations. All bidders will be required to certify compliance with Executive Order 12549 (ineligible contractors). Any contract issued as result of this solicitation is subject to a financial assistance contract between SEPTA and U.S. Department of Transportation. SEPTA retains the right to reject any and all bids as determined to be in the best interest of SEPTA. DESCRIPTION OF WORK A. This Section includes: 1. Metal conduits and fittings. 2. Nonmetallic conduits and fittings. 3. Optical-fiber-cable pathways and fittings. 4. Surface pathways. 5. Boxes, enclosures, and cabinets. 6. Handholes and boxes for exterior underground cabling. This Section includes: 1. Steel slotted support systems for communication raceways. 2. Aluminum slotted support systems for communication raceways. 3. Nonmetallic slotted support systems for communication raceways. 4. Conduit and cable support devices. 5. Support for conductors in vertical conduit. 6. Structural steel for fabricated supports and restraints. 7. Mounting, anchoring, and attachment components, including powder-actuated fasteners, mechanical expansion anchors, concrete inserts, clamps, through bolts, toggle bolts, and hanger rods. 8. Fabricated metal equipment support assemblies A. The Contractor shall procure, install/replace, test, and place in service the proposed CCTV Equipment. This will include the following: a. SEPTA shall provide the Contractor with system drawings. The Contractor will survey the Contract sites and finish the design by modifying the system drawings to include, but not limited to, conduit routing, conduit type, cable type, conduit and CCTV equipment details, etc. The Contractor shall submit the final design for approval. b. The Contractor will procure, configure, install and test all SEPTA approved cameras, mounts, camera boxes, media converters, conduit, cable and all associated CCTV equipment as indicated in the contract documents. Install all cameras and mounting hardware/boxes; aim, focus, set field of view. c. Most cameras are being replaced in existing locations; new camera locations are as indicated in the Contract plans. All existing cameras and equipment shall be removed and delivered to SEPTA. d. All cabling shall be secured using industry standards for cable management. Patch Cords shall be a minimum of Cat-6 factory molded connectors. No crimp connections will be accepted. It is the Contractors responsibility to provide and install the proper quantity of conduit and cable. e. Conduit: The Contractor will reuse existing CCTV conduit where possible. Install new conduit with pull string and wire for CCTV cameras/device, where required, on the platform and in station/facility in accordance with SEPTA Standard specifications and or approval. f. For new cameras in proposed locations install new conduit and cabling from camera to existing station cable and Comm Room at the station. g. All new conduit shall be Galvanized Rigid Steel (RGS). i. The Contractor shall provide and install conduit/cable with pull string and cabling as described: 1. Where existing conduit has deteriorated and needs to be replaced or cannot meet cable fill or bend requirements. 2. Proposed camera to station cable tray. 3. Remote CCTV cabinet to cable tray. 4. Remote CCTV Cabinet to existing electrical panel. h. All cabling shall be secured using industry standards for cable management. Patch Cords shall be a minimum of Cat-6 factory molded connectors. No crimp connections will be accepted. It is the Contractors responsibility to provide and install the proper quantity of conduit and cable as per their final design. i. Install data cables (copper and fiber) from CCTV equipment back to the Equipment Room and/or Remote CCTV Cabinet. Camera distances from the Comm rooms are estimated, it is the Contractors responsibility to verify the distances and provide/install the proper cable and equipment/media converters. Cameras over 300 feet away from the communications room network switch shall connect via composite cable (om1 multimode fiber with 2-#16 AWG conductors as indicated. The Contractor will terminate all cables. j. The Contractor will provide, under this contract, Genetec licenses and supplemental storage. The Contractor shall subcontract this work to Septa's CCTV Maintenance contractor Johnson Controls International (JCI). Refer to Contract Specifications for details. k. The Contractor shall configure CCTV Communications Room equipment; Coordinate with SEPTA C&S for CCTV equipment configuration and IP addressing scheme. l. Coordinate with SEPTA C&S to incorporate the proposed video surveillance equipment into SEPTA's network and Operations Control Center surveillance system.
