Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Chesterfield, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
Scope of Work: Route 1 Shared Use Path (Marina Drive - Merriewood Road) involves the construction of a ten-foot shared use path (SUP) along northbound US Route 1 from Marina Drive/Parkdale Road - Merriewood Road. The SUP crosses into the median at Marina Drive and Dundas Road. The work will include clearing, grading, asphalt paving, erosion & sediment control, signage, pavement markings, pedestrian signals, adjustments to existing signal equipment, adjustment of utilities, a retaining wall, electrical conduit & junction box installation, landscaping, temporary traffic control, and other items necessary for the completion of the work. Route 1 Shared Use Path (Merriewood Road - Elliham Ave) involves the construction of an eight to ten-foot shared use path along northbound US Route 1 from Merriewood Road - Elliham Avenue. The work will include clearing, grading, asphalt paving, erosion & sediment control, signage, pavement markings, adjustment of utilities, electrical conduit & junction box installation, landscaping, temporary traffic control, and other items necessary for the completion of the work. Route 1 Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon involves the construction of pedestrian hybrid beacons for the northbound and southbound travel lanes of US Route 1 near its intersection with Marina Drive/Parkdale Road. The work will include installation of the PHB, temporary traffic control, and other items necessary for the completion of the work. Contractors must be on VDOT's current Pre-qualified list at the time/ date set for the opening of bids in order to be eligible for this contract. Work must be completed within 365 calendar days of Notice to Proceed.
