As of July 29, 2025, project was awarded to Airdraulics Inc, awarded amount is $109,357.70. Contractor agrees to provide to Caltrans all labor, tools, materials, equipment, supplies, parts, travel, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install a bulk oil tank and delivery system. an estimated value of greater than $5,000.00, but not more than $461,000.00 SCO Id-2660-32A0641 Q&A: 4/30/2025 5:00 p.m Questions regarding this IFPQ must be submitted in writing. Bidders are encouraged to submit their written questions. Written questions must include the individual's name, firm name, complete address, and must reference IFPQ No. 32A0641. Questions must be sent to the following email: Email: laura.heberle@dot.ca.gov A. Contractor shall remove and legally dispose of the existing five (5) reels, and plumbing. B. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, parts, and incidentals necessary to furnish and install overhead lubrication hose reels, lubrication hoses, tubing, fittings, meters, oil pumps, air filters/regulators, air gauges, and lubrication storage tanks, as described herein, to complete the work under this Agreement, unless otherwise indicated. 1) Air Hose Reels a. Contractor shall install five (5) Balcrank # 2111-037: 1/2 inch by 60 feet Premium Series Double Arm Low Pressure Reels, or equivalent. Four (4) of the reels are for air and one (1) is for water. b. Contractor shall install four (4) air couplers. c. Contractor shall install one (1) water faucet. A water source is available near the proposed installation area. d. Air hose reels shall be installed on the east side of the Shop between the Shop doors (see Attachment 3 and 4). 2) Lubrication Reels a. Contractor shall install ten (10) Balcrank # 2111-041: 1/2 inch by 60 feet Premium Series Double Arm Medium Pressure Reels, or equivalent. b. Contractor shall install one (1) Balcrank # 2111-047: 3/8 inch by 60 feet Premium Series Double Arm High Pressure Reels, or equivalent. c. Contractor shall install nine (9) Balcrank # 3330-205: Mechanical Meter Control Handle, Flex Lance, or equivalent. d. Contractor shall install one (1) Balcrank # 3330-024: Non-Metered Control Handle, Flex Lance, or equivalent. e. Contractor shall install one (1) Balcrank # 3330-025: Pro Series Grease Handle with 18 foot Whip Hose, or equivalent. f. Lubrication reels shall be suspended from the ceiling. Contractor shall furnish all materials for suspending the reels from the ceiling. g. See Attachments 3 and 4 for proposed locations for the new lubrication reels. 3) Lube Storage Tank a. Contractor shall install one (1) Keese 1,250-gallon dual wall fresh oil storage tank with two (2) 250-gallon compartments and six (6) 125-gallon compartments, or equivalent. b. Each compartment shall have a lockable fill hatch, level gauge, mushroom vent, and threaded bung for oil pump. c. Contractor shall install seismic anchor tabs to storage tank. d. Contractor shall install seven (7) American Lube #LM2305A-11-B: 5:1 Fresh Oil Pump with bung adapter and Pick-up tube, or equivalent. e. Contractor shall install one (1) American Lube #612999-3: 1 inch-Diaphragm Antifreeze dispensing pump package, or equivalent. f. Contractor shall install one (1) American Lube #LP-3009-1: 400 lb 50:1 Grease Pump Package, or equivalent. g. Contractor shall install seven (7) Fresh Oil Pump Install Kits; Air Inlet Hose 5 feet, Oil Discharge Hose 5 feet and 1/2 inch Filter Regulator, or equivalent. 4) Plumbing a. Contractor shall install approximately 2,289 feet of plumbing piping from the new lubrication reels to the new lube storage tank. Plumbing shall be installed on the walls and/or ceiling. b. Contractor shall flush all plumbing lines and pressure test piping. c. See Attachments 3 and 4 for proposed plumbing location. 5) Contractor shall be responsible for transporting and securing the new equipment at the site prior to installation. Caltrans Contract Manager will identify a location for the Contractor to store the equipment. C. Contractor shall provide and install shut-off valves for all air and oil fed equipment. D. Contractor shall provide and install primary and secondary emergency vents. E. Contractor shall incorporate an electrical actuated air shutoff valve (normally closed) into each bulk oil supply system's main air supply. F. Contractor shall test operation on all equipment.
