The work, in general, consists of : excavating and grading the base and side slopes for the new landfill expansion area, installing landfill liner system, installing leachate collection system, constructing access roads and drainage systems. The work is located at North County Sanitary Landfill (17720 E Harney Ln Lodi, Ca 95240). Questions submitted less than 72 hours in advance of bid opening may not receive a response. Base Estimate Range between $12,300,000 and $13,500,000 Bids are required for the entire work described herein. A bid security of 10% is required from all bidders. The bid security must be in the form of cash, certified or cashier's check, electronic bond or a bid bond in favor of the Department. Bid Security other than electronic bond must be received by the Department prior to the bid opening closing time specified above. A payment bond and a performance bond each 100% of the value of the contract are required from the successful bidder. The Contractor must possess a Class A license at the time this contract is awarded. A contractor or subcontractor will not be qualified to bid on, be listed in a bid, subject to the requirements of Section 4104 of the Public Contract Code, or engage in the performance of any contract for public work, as defined in this chapter, unless currently registered and qualified to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5. It is not a violation of this section for an unregistered contractor to submit a bid that is authorized by Section 7029.1 of the Business and Professions Code or by Section 10164 or 20103.5 of the Public Contract Code, provided the contractor is registered to perform public work pursuant to Section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded.
