The work consists of maintaining approximately 3 70 landscaped areas throughout the City of Lodi. The areas are separated into groups that consist of City Facilities and the Consolidated Landscape Maintenance Assessment District zones. The areas total approximately 3.1 million square feet. Site locations are listed in Exhibit A and are shown on the map (Exhibit C) as well as on the Web Map located, which are made a part of these specifications. The landscape area is generally defined as all lawn areas, trees, shrubs, mowing strips, hard surfaces, adjacent walkways and gutters, ground cover, ivy along walls, flower beds, bare areas, and connected parking lots on the aforementioned sites. Islands and medians are the entire site up to and including the intersecting point of concrete and asphalt. It should be noted that the Contractor will maintain areas that are irrigated by aging galvanized pipe. The City does not maintain records of where these areas are located or the age of the irrigation infrastructure. Irrigation breaks/leaks shall be repaired by the Contractor at no extra cost to the City. The contractor shall conform to traffic control standards by the MUTCD where necessary and will be enforced by the City. The length of the contract will be twenty-four (24) months, starting July 1, 20 25 and ending June 30, 202 7 . The contract may be extended annually if mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the City. No bid will be considered unless it is submitted on a proposal form furnished by the City of Lodi. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the completion of such forms, and to award to the lowest responsible bidder. The prime contractor on this project shall possess a valid State of California Class C-27 contractor's license and a valid State of California QAL license for landscape maintenance, Category B.
