Additional days shall be added if unsuitable weather is encountered and the City authorizes a Temporary Suspension of Work per Section 5-506. Upon signing the contract, Contractor agrees that length of time of the contract is reasonable. The City of Lodi hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, sex or national origin in consideration for an award. In compliance with Federal requirements, the City of Lodi has calculated a contract-specific Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for this project. The contract-specific goal for this project is 21%. Bidders will be required to submit a Good Faith Effort to obtain the 21% DBE participation. See Attachments G and H for reference to the City's guidance and evaluation of the Good Faith Efforts. No bid will be considered unless it is submitted on a proposal form furnished by the City of Lodi. The prime contractor on this project shall possess a valid State of California Class A, C-12 or C-32 contractor's license. The City Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in the completion of such forms, and to award to the lowest responsible bidder.
