The Columbia Public School District is seeking bids for Juniper Network Equipment for the Columbia Area Career Center Renovation and the Battle Elementary School Addition. All questions should be submitted in writing by email (lozanich@cpsk12.org) to the Purchasing Department. The District reserves the right to accept or reject all or part of the bid, to waive technicalities, and to accept the offer the District considers most advantageous. The District also reserves the right to award all items, any group of items, or a single item. Be advised that the District is not required to award the bid to the lowest bidder, but instead to the best bidder that presents the most advantageous offer to the District, in the District's sole and complete discretion. Bids will be evaluated based on the type of product or service offered, price of the product or service, qualifications of the bidder, experience of the bidder, and the District's past experience with the bidder. Bidders experience and qualifications shall include the number of years the bidder has been in operation, the number of times the bidder has provided the product or service requested, the litigation history of the bidder, and the number of times the bidder has provided the product or service to the District or other public school districts. Do not include Federal Excise Tax or Sales and Use Taxes in bid prices, as the District is exempt from them by law. A tax exemption certificate will be furnished upon request. Failure to deliver as guaranteed, or any other default by the bidder, may result in the disqualification of the bidder from future bidding. The Columbia School District has adopted a policy encouraging the purchase of products and/or services manufactured, assembled, or produced within the state and to all firms, corporations, or individuals doing business as Missouri firms, corporations, or individuals. when quality and price are the same. Should bidder take exception to any terms, conditions, or specifications stated herein, such exception must be so noted IN WRITING within your bid submittal and an alternate stated. Failure to so do will result in the assumption and requirement of compliance with said terms, conditions, and specification as stated. In case of default by the bidder, the Columbia School District will procure the articles or services from other sources and hold the bidder responsible for any excess cost occasioned thereby According to section 171.181 of the Missouri State Statutes, no board member, officer or employee of the Columbia School District is permitted to sell or provide any of the commodities stated within this bid to the Columbia School District. Anti-Discrimination Against Israel: Any company, with ten or more employees, awarded a contract for services with a potential value in excess of one hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) with a Missouri public entity must, as a condition to the award of any such contract, agree not to engage in the boycott of Israeli goods or services either directly or indirectly. :The District has implemented a new visitor management system.
