Portland State University (PSU) is seeking proposals to renovate a total of sixty-eight (68) student resident units this coming summer in the Stephen Epler Hall (SEH) housing building. The work will have overlapping amounts of scope based on the selected unit. The building will be partially occupied for the duration of the project. This ITB cover three separate scopes of work (SOW) broken out by trade partners. PSU intends to act as the general contractor on this project and facilitate the coordination between trades. This procurement will result in three separate construction contracts. SOW #1 is the renovation sixty-eight (68) student resident units by replacing the existing flooring with new luxury vinyl tile (LVT) in the living areas and linoleum in the bathrooms. This will also include new rubber base throughout the unit. In an effort to ensure a good quality final product, the flooring is not to be installed in bathrooms with renovated showers until the shower work is complete in each room. SOW #2 is the renovation thirty (30) (overlapping with SOWs 1 & 3) student resident units by replacing the existing shower pans, mixing valves, shower heads, and associated plumbing. SOW #3 is the renovation thirty (30) (overlapping with SOWs 1 & 2) student resident units by replacing the existing shower stalls (solid surfaces).
