The City of Bowie, Maryland requests bids from experienced and qualified contractors to repair and replace approximately eight hundred linear feet (800') of bituminous trails on Northview Drive, Bowie, MD. The work consists of the following, but is not limited to: Reconstructing approximately eight hundred linear feet (800') of bituminous trails. The trails are approximately eight feet (8.0') feet wide. The 800' Trail is not a single contiguous trail. It consists of two segments. The first segment is six hundred and fifty feet (650') long and the second segment is approximately one hundred and fifty feet (150') long. Work also includes maintenance of traffic (traffic control plan is required) during the course of the project. The City has the right to increase or decrease the quantities based on available funding. Project Objectives: A. Replace the existing asphalt trail. B. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards. C. Improve trail durability and safety for all users. D. Minimize environmental impact during construction. E.
