This Request for Proposal (RFP) is for the University of Maryland College Park (UMD) to select an experienced Design-Build Contractor ("DBC" or "Contractor") for the design and construction of a 184,924 GSF/110,733 NASF Thurgood Marshall Library & Academic Commons (TML) on the Bowie State University Campus. This project will replace the existing 47-year-old Thurgood Marshall Library and will occupy the site of the former Martin Luther King, Jr Center that will be demolished in Spring 2025. The intent of the project is to provide a modern and inviting Academic Commons to enhance students' research and learning outcomes that address existing and future space needs.
