Site work for a civil project in Bowie, Maryland. Working plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of October 13, 2025, bids were canceled. No definite date for the rebid.** An additional Questions and Answer period ahas been added to Bid Locker closing on August 21, 2025, 11 am and are to be addressed no later than Thursday, August 28, 2025. The City of Bowie, Maryland requests bids from qualified and experienced contractors for repairs to the erosion and embankment at the Melford Regional Pond. Repairs: a. Section A: Install 3’ wide x 1’ deep x 170 feet Class II Rip Rap on filter fabric 170 LF of bank per MGWC 2.3 and MGWC 2.1 b. Section B: Install approximately 3’ wide x 1’ deep x 110 feet of Class II Rip Rap on filter fabric per MGWC 2.3 and MGWC 2.1. c. Section B1: Install approximately 3’ wide x 1’ deep x 150 feet of Class II Rip Rap on filter fabric per MGWC 2.3 and MGWC 2.1. d. Section C: Install approximately 3’ wide x 1’ deep x 85 feet of Class II Rip Rap on filter fabric per MGWC 2.3 and MGWC 2.1. e. Section D: Install approximately 3’ wide x 1’ deep x 155 feet of Class II Rip Rap on filter fabric per MGWC 2.3 and MGWC 2.1. f. Section E: Backfill small washout area with #57 stone and topsoil, coconut fiber cloth and seed. 2. Dewatering: The City of Bowie will open and drain water to the pond to expose adequate work area. The contractor will provide pumps if required if further dewatering is necessary. The work shall be consistent with the Scope of Services contained in this Invitation for Bids (IFB). By submission of a bid, the bidder represents that it is able to comply with all requirements contained in the IFB. Question Deadline 08/11/2025 at 11:00 AM ET All questions or requests for clarifications regarding this IFB are required to be submitted through electronically. Written responses to all questions and/or requests for clarifications will be issued no later than Thursday, August 14, 2025, to all those who have expressed interest in this IFB through online. All blanks on each form provided by the City in connection with this IFB must be filled in, and no change shall be made to any part of the text of the form. Prospective bidders that obtain this document from online, should immediately register with Bid Locker to ensure receipt of addenda and other communications regarding this solicitation. Each bidder or prospective bidder must refer online for any available amendments, addenda, cancellations, and additional information regarding this IFB.
