Renovation of a residential development in Pensacola, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
General Contractors that are licensed, insured, and in good standing with the County are eligible to bid on the attached scope. New contractors with the county are required to submit a letter of insurability agreeing to these requirements. Escambia County may award Line item by Line item for emergency items limited to roofing and septic/sewer services. Only OPENGOV submitted bids will be accepted. Rehabilitation of an owner-occupied single-family residence to make homes safe and sanitary within the provisions of federal and state laws, county ordinances and the CRA repair program. Rehabilitation of the home will include the following tasks as outlined below. If additional tasks beyond those included in the quote are discovered, then additional funds may be allocated for additional tasks pending written approval from the county. There is no federal funding on this project. If you are performing work on Escambia County property, you must provide proof of a certificate of insurance that meets the County's standard requirements and lists Escambia County as an additional insured. Vendors should contact the designated department or project representative to confirm specific insurance requirements before proceeding with work. Question Deadline - 05/07/2025 at 1:00 PM CT. SCOPE OF WORK Rehabilitation of an owner-occupied single-family residence to make homes safe and sanitary within the provisions of federal and state laws, county ordinances and the CRA repair program. Rehabilitation of the home will include the following tasks as outlined below. If additional tasks beyond those included in the quote are discovered, then additional funds may be allocated for additional tasks pending written approval from the county. There is no federal funding on this project. 1.ROOFING: Remove existing roof covering the decking and replace any deteriorated or damaged decking with like, kind, and quality of existing materials. Repair or replace any damaged roof framing to include rafter tails, rafters, and barge rafters. Refasten and certify decking attachment. Install a peel and stick underlayment water barrier. Replace existing drip edge with new metal drip edge. Install new slant-back vents, replace gas vent caps and all flashing as required. Replace all boots with new lead, EPDM, and or metal boots. Install 30-year architectural (CertainTeed Landmark or equivalent) roof shingle as per manufacturer's specifications and/or a selfadhering modified bitumen roof system to any low sloped areas as per the Escambia County Building Code. Then install new shingle over the ridge vents. Budget 320 square feet for damaged decking replacement and install hurricane clips if they are missing. Trim any trees over hanging roof to clear roof by approximately 10' and remove all debris from site. Photographs are required for all stages of construction. Roof total $____________ 2.GUTTERS: Remove existing gutters and install new 6" aluminum gutters around the home. This is to include 4" downspouts, splash blocks, and diverters
