Site work and new construction of a municipal facility in Bloomington, Indiana. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and municipal facility.
Demolition is underway on this project, and there will be a ceremonial groundbreaking on June 3rd, but vertical construction cannot begin until demolition is complete. PROJECT PROFILE Design and Construction of the expansion of the Bloomington Convention Center in Bloomington, Indiana. Project to include a new Exhibit Hall of approximately 60,000 SF, with Meeting Rooms, Restrooms, Kitchen, Loading Dock, Storage and other support facilities. Project is located between Walnut Street and College Avenue, immediately south of Third Street in Bloomington. Project new construction is required to meet LEED Silver. Project will include a second floor connection over College Avenue to the existing 40,000 SF Convention Center. The second floor connector will be part of the LEED scope and therefore part of this Commissioning. The existing Convention Center will be receiving particular renovations, however the renovation work is not included within this request for proposal.
