The school is securing sealed bids to remove and replace existing (natural) gas lines inside both the middle school and high school sections/wings. The overall objective is to increase gas volume to accommodate new larger HVAC/RTU Units that are currently installed. Ideally, a 2" gas main to be installed in each hallway between drop ceiling and bottom of ceiling deck, with 1" and 3/4" branch lines to various HVAC Units. Each wing of high school and middle school have separate gas meters with elevated pressure currently set at 2 PSI. Overall, there are 32 HVAC Units, 17 in middle school wing, and 15 in the high school wing. Each wing is consuming approximately 2.3 million BTU's at full capacity. Additionally, a separate 2" gas line to be installed in middle school wing to accommodate a 20kw outdoor on demand generator. Site of generator will be discussed at the walk through on May 2, 2025. The job can commence the week of June 16, 2025, and must be completed in 4-5 weeks, maximum based on school schedule.
