Reference Number 0000384922 Bid Intent Not Available The Douglas County DOT Administration Building will be a new ground up facility, constructed in an existing parking lot area located directly north of the existing Connect Douglas building, and northeast of the existing Douglas County Department of Transportation pavilion. The existing parking area will be removed, as shown in the contract documents, to accommodate the future site development and building. The design intent is for the new DOT Administration Building to visually match the Connect Douglas building. The new DOT Administration Building will be approximately 5,686 gross sf and will be a single-story facility with a hipped main roof and gabled roof portico. The building structure is composed of dimensional wood framing and wood roof trusses on a slab on grade foundation. The exterior walls are finished in brick veneer and the roof is finished with standing seam metal roofing. At the front portico and along the exterior, there are many classical architectural details used to match the Connect Douglas Building. The interior spaces consist of a front reception, offices, a conference room, storage rooms, restrooms, break room, utility spaces, a janitorial closet, circulation space, and a copy / print room. Centrally located in the floor plan, above the ceiling, there is a mechanical equipment platform. Refer to the contract documents for the full project scope.
