Bidder(s) must furnish all materials, labor and equipment. It will be the responsibility of the selected contractor to survey existing elevator and all associated areas. The approved company will be responsible for all items listed in the Scope of Work Section of this document. Bids submitted after the designated date and time will be deemed invalid. No bid may be withdrawn within ninety (90) days after the bid opening and all bids shall remain firm during this period. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Bond in favor of the Board of Commissioners of Douglas County in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the Bid for the complete work. The Bid Bond shall be forfeited to the Board of Commissioners of Douglas County, Georgia as liquidated damages if the Bidder fails to execute the Contract and provide Performance Bond, Payment Bond, and Liability Insurance Certificate within fifteen (15) calendar days after being notified that he/she has been awarded the contract. A required performance bond is to be 100% of the contract amount and a required payment bond is to be 100% of the contract amount. The County may award the contract to other than low Bidder. The Douglas County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any and all Bids and to waive informalities. Douglas County reserves the right to waive informalities, to reject any and all bids, to evaluate bids, to accept portions of any bid, and to accept any bid, which in its opinion, may be in the best interest of the County.
