As of July 22, 2025 Project has not been awarded. Award will be on July 29, 2025 All work for the project shall be performed in accordance with the attachment. The work consists of furnishing all material, labor, and equipment necessary for the rehabilitation of five (5) tennis courts. This includes the removal and replacement of one (1) tennis court in its entirety. Project elements to be addressed by City Staff: Removal of tennis nets/posts and windscreen Removal of all necessary landscaping for access to project area Temporary removal/replacement of necessary fencing for access to project area Installation/replacement of landscaping in affected areas. Project elements to be included in Contractor scope of work: Removal of asphalt for Court 5 (southeastern most court) Identify and address subsurface conditions contributing to the historical "depression" forming in that court. (Available geotechnical data will be provided upon request.) Prepare the sub-grade according to best practices for sand/coastal/existing site conditions to include, but not limited to: removal of any debris/organic materials, proper compaction. Re-pour/install asphalt regulating base to replace removed portion of court battery. Prepare other 4 courts for resurfacing according to best practices for existing site conditions, to include but not limited to: cleaning filling cracks and other depressions/imperfections to ensure a level surface, installation of a fiberglass membrane as appropriate. Application of acrylic resurfacing product/layers, providing for a choice of colors to be selected by the City with input of. Painting of tennis lines (5 courts) and pickleball lines (10 courts), providing for a choice of colors to be selected by the City with input of players. Application of any top-coat systems as advised by manufacturers, prior to or following the painting of lines. Install new tennis net poles/equipment. Tennis court plan and detail o Please refer to the attached "Exhibit A" original 1975 tennis court plans. o It is recommended that the interested firm measure out the distance if needed during the mandatory pre-bid meeting. o The tennis courts that are seen on the attached 1975 plans are the original tennis courts. None of the tennis courts have been altered or changed since the original installation. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all additive or deductive alternatives at its sole discretion subsequent to award of the Contract. The City reserves the right, with or without cause, to waive technicalities or irregularities, to modify the invitation to bid by written addendum, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid which in its sole and absolute judgment best serves the City's interests. No contract shall be deemed formed under this invitation to bid until such time as the City and the successful bidder approve and execute a written agreement on a form prepared by the City which sets forth the scope of the equipment and services being purchased by the City.
