Site work for a civil project in Port Alberni, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The South Island Forest District Engineering Team invites qualified contractors to bid on a tender for Forest Service Road and bridge maintenance and the installation of major culvert and bridge structures. The successful bidder will be required to provide references proving a minimum of 5 years' experience in resource road and bridge maintenance and the installation of major culverts and bridges. This contract has an "Option to Renew" clause whereby subject to satisfactory performance by the Contractor and the availability of funding by the province, the contract maybe renewed for a further term of 12 months to a maximum of 3 years. The successful bidder will be assigned as the Designated Prime Contractor and must be capable of fulfilling that role. Work under this contract entails: Grading Culvert Installs Road Repairs from storm damage Re-Surfacing Road Ditching Brushing Road Reactivation Deactivation Major culvert Installs Bridge Installs Guardrail Replacement Hazard tree falling Gravel Pit and Rock Quarry development Documents can be obtained from www.bcbid.gov.bc.ca. Award is subject to final approval.
