Question Deadline 05/09/2025 Questions received less than three (3) calendar days prior to the date for opening of Bids shall not be answered. Work for this Contract includes: Removal of the existing roadway pavement and replacement with conventional or high early strength new Portland cement concrete pavement and pavement markings. Stormwater drainage infrastructure is not part of the scope of work. Contractor should note the required contract time. Reconstruction of approximately 2,000 linear feet of roadway. High early strength concrete will be utilized for this project. This project includes demolition of existing pavement, installation of portland cement concrete pavement, lime treated subgrade, traffic control, pavement markings and storm water pollution prevention measures. All Bids shall be accompanied by a cashier's or certified check drawn on a state or local bank in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total maximum bid price, and payable without recourse to the City of Santa Fe, Santa Fe, Texas, or a Bid Bond in the same amount from a reliable surety company authorized to do business in the State of Texas, as a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into a Contract. The Notice of Award of Contract shall be given by the City of Santa Fe within ninety (90) days following the opening of bids and bids shall remain valid for ninety (90) days. Bid security shall be returned to the respective Bidders within thirty (30) days after bids are opened, except checks or bonds which the City of Santa Fe elects to hold until the successful Bidder has executed the Contract. Thereafter, all the remaining securities, including the security of the successful Bidder, shall be returned within ninety (90) days following the opening of bids. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price and upon the forms which are attached hereto. A Payment Bond shall be furnished for any contract in excess of Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars ($25,000) and a Performance Bond shall be furnished for contracts in excess of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000), and each shall be furnished within five (5) days after receipt of the Contract Documents. The City of Santa Fe reserves the right to reject any bid and to waive informalities in the bids. In case of ambiguity or lack of clearness in stating the prices in any bid, the City of Santa Fe reserves the right to consider the most advantageous construction thereof, or to reject the bid. The award shall be made to the lowest and best responsive Bidder submitting the best value for the City of Santa Fe. CONTRACT TIME 2.1 If offer is accepted, Contractor agrees the Work will be Substantially Complete within ninety (90) Calendar Days after the date when the Contract Time commences in accordance with Document 00500 Standard Form of Agreement. 2.2 It is also understood and agreed that the Work shall have a Final Completion and ready for Final Payment in accordance with the General Conditions within fourteen (14) Calendar Days after Substantial Completion in accordance with Document 00500 Standard Form of Agreement.
