Site work for a civil project in North Vancouver, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and water / sewer project.

The City of North Vancouver ("CNV") invites submissions for the pre-qualification of contractors who have experience delivering in-stream and associated environmental, slope stabilization, and municipal construction services. Contractors should demonstrate capability and successful completion of similar past projects, with expertise working in or adjacent to streams and watercourses, aquatic and riparian habitat restoration, bank and slope stabilization, erosion control, and associated infrastructure. The successful contractor will report to the appointed Project Manager of each successfully awarded project. The scope of future projects may include, but is not limited to: _ In-stream channel stabilization, realignment and flow control; _ Fish access rehabilitation and habitat restoration and enhancement; _ Bioengineering and vegetated riprap installation; _ Slope stabilization and installation of retaining structures, including mechanically stabilized earth walls; _ Excavation, dredging and sediment removal; _ Erosion and sediment control (ESC) implementation, management and monitoring; _ Flow isolation, dewatering, bypass pumping and fish salvage in active streams; _ Stream daylighting; _ Demolition and removal of existing in-stream structures; _ Installation of in-stream structures such as but not limited to weirs, vanes, large-woody-debris, step-pools, weir-riffles, etc. _ Installation of culverts, headwalls, or small bridge structures; _ Trail construction, restoration and rehabilitation, including small boardwalk and bridge structures; _ Landscape and riparian planting with post-construction maintenance; and _ Other associated work. 4.2 4.3 Project Types & Examples Projects may range in value from $200,000 to $3 million. Works may occur in naturalized areas, parks, or along utility corridors and public right of ways as well as adjacent to residential and commercial properties. Project will often require coordination with multiple interest holders and communication with the interest holders and the public. Anticipated upcoming projects (within the next 2 years) may include: _ Slope stabilization and stream channel restoration works along Thain Creek; _ Mosquito Creek In-Stream Works _ Park Trail Repairs and Creek Restoration _ Habitat restoration works within naturalized storm channels; _ Emergency in-stream repairs and bank failure
