Booster Pump Station Improvements, LS: Lump sum price to furnish all labor, equipment and incidentals for the construction of a complete and operational booster pump station at the existing facility in Poweshiek County, Iowa; including but not limited to exterior piping connections and thrust blocks, modifications to existing below grade vault walls and floor, demolition and removal of select interior piping and equipment, ductile iron piping, pipe supports, valves, two (2) 100 gpm 3 HP pumps, pump control valve, and miscellaneous associated work for complete installation. Site Directions: The project will be generally located 5 miles northwest of Grinnell, Iowa along Newburg Road west of the intersection with 80th Street. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in form acceptable to Poweshiek Water Association, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to one hundred percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in the amount of 10% of the amount of the bid, as fixed in the Instruction to Bidders and shall be in the form of a cashier's check or a certified check drawn on a FDIC insured bank in Iowa or on a FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Iowa or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond on the form provided in the contract documents with corporate surety satisfactory to Poweshiek Water Association. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications. $800 per working day that the work is not substantially or fully complete. Successful Bidder will be required to furnish Performance, Payment and Maintenance Bond acceptable to Poweshiek Water Association on the form provided in the specifications in amounts equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Notice to Proceed will be issued after October 1, 2025 on a date mutually agreed to by Poweshiek Water Association and Contractor. The work under the proposed contract shall begin upon the issuance of the Notice to Proceed and be fully complete and ready for final payment on or before Friday, February 27, 2026.
