CONTRACTOR hereby agrees to provide the services and/or materials under this Contract pursuant to the provisions and specifications identified by the Request for Proposal attached herein. Time is of the essence with respect to all provisions of this Contract that specify a time for performance. The Town of Black Mountain is seeking proposals from potential vendors for professional Janitorial Services. Each offeror must thoroughly examine the Request for Proposal and contract documents to ensure that all requirements can be met. Proposals shall be submitted on the forms included within the RFP documents. See "Proposal Submittal Format" for detailed instructions on what information to submit. Each offeror shall submit with its proposal the name, address, and telephone number of the person(s) with authority to bind the company and answer questions or provide clarification concerning the offeror's proposal. Pursuant to General Statute 143-48, the Town of Black Mountain invites and encourages participation in this procurement process by businesses owned by minorities, women, disabled, disabled business enterprises and non-profit work centres for the blind and severely disabled. The successful offeror(s) will be notified in writing within sixty (60) days, or sooner, after the receipt of proposals. The contract start date may not be until July 1, 2025; therefore, prices will need to remain firm for the entire contract period of July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026. Verbal notification of award is not considered a liable mode of notification and therefore will not be recognized as an official notification.
