The work, officially known as "2025 Road Improvements" consists of pulverizing the existing pavement on Bronk Drive, Edgewood Court and a portion of Wynn Drive and paving a 4-inch compacted thickness HMA placed in two lifts. After pulverization, the stone base will be proof rolled and graded prior to the placement of the new HMA. Additional undercutting may be needed based on under lying condition of base. OTHER PROVISIONS: The Contract letting shall be subject to the applicable provisions of the Wisconsin Statutes, Section 66.0901, 66.0903, 779.15. In connection with the performance of work under this contract, the Contractor agrees not to discriminate against any employees or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, handicap, sex, physical condition, developmental disability, or national origin. This provision shall include, but not be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff and termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; selection for training, including apprenticeship. A certified check or bid bond, payable without condition to the Village of Big Bend in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the bid, shall be submitted with each bid as a guarantee that if the bid is accepted, a proper contract and bond as surety will be executed and filed within ten (10) days after the acceptance of the bid. If such bidder fails to execute & file such contract & bond, the amount of the check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the Bid which best serves the interests of the Owner. A complete bid will consist of (at a minimum) the unit prices and total base bid contained on pages 4-6 of 22, the signatures required on page 22 of 22 and the bid security required in this invitation to bid.
