President and Board of Trustees of the Village of RiverGrove, Cook County, Illinois, that sealed bid proposals will be received for the following improvement: 2025 Demolition Project The project shall include demolishing all structures on the Village property at 2434 Thatcher Avenue and 8171 W. Grand Avenue. The work consists of removal and proper disposal of all hazardous waste(refrigerants, light fixture/bulbs, white goods), asbestos containing material (ACM) located on and within the buildings, the demolition of all existing structures located on these sites, the removal and proper disposal of the building debris, the removal and disposal of existing foundations to a minimum depth of three feet (3') below the existing grade, backfilling the excavated foundations and basements with crushed aggregate, termination of Village sanitary sewer connections, surface restoration. The Contractor shall arrange and coordinate termination with other utility service providers. The Engineer has been authorized to refuse to issue plans, specifications,and proposals to any person, firm, or corporation they consider unqualified. Proposals must be submitted using the forms provided. All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check inan amount which shall not be less than Five Percent (5%) of the total amount of the proposal. No bid shall be withdrawn after the opening of the Proposals without the consent of the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of River Grove for forty-five (45) days after the bid opening. The Contractor bidder will also be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Payment Bond in the contract amount. The Village of River Grove reserves the right to waive technicalities and reject any or all bids.
